 Lt. James L. Harp, 64th FS.  James said he was flying someone else's plane that day, "Sandra", was not his girl... His regular ship was #37, "Passion Jr. II" James said the engine quit after take off, he jettisoned the bombs and belly tank, forgot to lower his flaps, and bellied in at 150 mph, and remembers his goggles hitting the gun sight, and the prop sending dirt down his neck.  Grosseto Italy.
