Capt. Robert Looney

Capt. Robert Looney, Rochester NY, 66th FS 57th FG. Big thanks to Christian Marsh, whose father in law here was an exemplary pilot with the Group. His brother Alfred also was in the conflict. Sadly he was KIA over Germany.

Lt. Robert Looney shot down a Ju 52/2m while piloting ’No 87’ El Tigre during the Palm Sunday Massacre over Cape Bon, Tunisia on April 18, 1943.

Lt. Robert Looney with his Squadron mates, third from right with Puppy.
